Terms of use

speech.camlinconnect.com.au is a free demonstration of Camlin Speech’s Australian-English speech recognition and voice synthesis, operated by Nuamedia, ABN 57 153 868 949 (“we”, “us”). By using it you accept these terms. If you want to use Camlin Speech in a product or service, that is supplied under a separate customer agreement — start at the contact or plans page.

You agree not to:

• record or submit another person’s voice or personal information without their consent;
• submit unlawful, defamatory or infringing content for synthesis, or use synthesised audio to impersonate any person or to mislead (including in scam, robocall or deepfake contexts);
• probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure, or resell access to the demonstration.

The demonstrations are rate-limited fair use. We may throttle, block or withdraw access at our discretion.

The demonstration is provided “as is”, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and carries no availability, accuracy or fitness commitment. Transcripts and synthesised audio are machine output and may be wrong; do not rely on them for any decision without human verification. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded; to the extent permitted, our liability for the free demonstration is limited to resupplying it.

The site, the Camlin and Nuamedia names and marks, the voices, and the underlying models remain our property (or that of our licensors). You may use audio synthesised on this page for personal evaluation only. Commercial use of synthesised audio requires a customer agreement.

You retain your rights in text and audio you submit. You grant us the licence needed to process it to provide the demonstration (transcribe or synthesise and return the result). We do not use it to train models — see the privacy policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. We may update these terms by posting a revised version here with a new version number and effective date.
